My family has been coming here for 20yrs. We celebrate birthdays here. It is truly a beautiful restaurant. The fun details. The craftsmanship. The lighting. The atmosphere. Everything about this restaurant is wonderful. Great indoor space. Incredible bar. The food. The staff everything is just amazing. This is a must stop if you are in the area.

This was my first time in Virginia and my boyfriend's dad brought us here before we left back to Louisiana. First off, this place is huge and looks like a mall. The service is amazing and the servers are very professional. Best ceasar salad that I have ever had. The salmon was cooked perfectly and the lemon drop was strong in a good way, it was not watered down. We also had the spinach and artichoke dip and the fried calamari. I would def come back and try something else on the menu.

I love this place. Maybe the best American food I have tried so far. Every dish tastes great. I ordered pork chops, hanger steak, firecracker shrimp and fried calamari. It has big space and great for family gatherings. Food was too good, so I only got the desert pictures. ; D

Amazing service. All specials offered were absolutely worth a try. Service was fast despite full house. Staff is very professional, friendly and attentive to your requests. Food was so good that family cleaned the plates despite sizable portions. Be sure to ask staff about the size of you plan to share, but realistically it is unlikely you will have problem finishing individual orders so good they are. Fish was done absolutely perfect, kids loved their penne as well. Originally planned to skip a desert. I am glad we did not. Waffle was a vomplete delight.

From start to finish, the experience was top-notch. The service was friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. The crab dip was loaded with juicy lumpsof crab. The hanger steak salad was cooked to perfection. The restaurant was busy on a Saturday night, so reservations are definitely recommended, but the lively, warm, and social atmosphere made the evening even better. A fantastic dining experience all around—I’ll definitely be coming back!

Mike’s American Restaurant Started the night with shrimp and crab fritters — only three of them, but each one was a knockout. Crispy, flavorful, paired with corn salsa and sauce, and plated beautifully. That dish really set the tone for what I expected to be a high-end meal, and it didn’t disappoint on presentation. For my entrée, I went with the pecan-crusted trout. The two fillets were cooked perfectly, and the flavor was spot on. The grilled broccolini that came with it was fresh and tasty, but here’s the catch: that’s all that came with it. For the price, I expected a little more substance on the plate. A starch — wild rice, roasted potatoes, something hearty — would have rounded the dish out. As it stood, I left the table still hungry, even with the appetizer. The service, though, was impeccable. My server, Raimun, was outstanding — attentive without hovering, knew the menu inside and out, and even had an iced tea in front of me before I thought to ask. That kind of detail really stood out. The atmosphere was polished and upscale, fitting for the style of restaurant. The only real drawback outside of portion size was the location of the restrooms. Being on the third floor meant a trip to the basement via elevator (or stairs, if you’re feeling ambitious) anytime nature called. Not the most convenient setup. All that said, I’d go back. The food quality and service were excellent, the ambiance was nice, and with a little more balance on the plate, this would’ve been a home run.

Mike’s American never disappoints! The raspberry lemon drop was delicious, the salad fresh, mashed potatoes creamy, and the prime rib cooked to perfection. The Ozzie rolls with poppy seed honey butter are simply addictive. Great food, fun environment for sports lovers, and overall a five-star experience. Only downside—too much money being spent for the sign light to still be out.

We had the absolute BEST food and service here! Food is served promptly and on point! Fresh and filling! Raymundo was our server and he was absolutely fantastic! His happy and welcoming attitude and personality are top tier and we will definitely be back! Honestly, I’m very picky and this place is beyond superb!
